In 1994, Power Vac-BELFOR began with five guys, one office with one desk, a panel van and a Chevy S-10 pick up truck to service the entire province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Today, the company has three provincial locations and approximately 70 employees across the province. Four of the original five employees are still working with Power Vac-BELFOR.
What began as a residential duct cleaning and asbestos abatement service has evolved to the largest and most prominent local environmental and commercial duct cleaning contractor in Newfoundland and Labrador. Most of Power Vac-BELFOR’s clients know the company for its expertise in asbestos abatement – but, Power Vac-BELFOR is like Canadian Tire…there’s more to Canadian Tire than tires and there’s more to Power Vac-BELFOR than asbestos abatement!
The services that the Power Vac-BELFOR Team has to offer are very diversified: Asbestos/Lead abatement; mould remediation; commercial, marine, offshore, residential, industrial duct cleaning; robotic inspections and cleaning; Adsil applications (anti-graffiti, non-ferrous metal, HVAC/R); heavy metal abatement; and emergency response services (water damage restoration, fire and smoke damage restoration, odor control).
There are a few things that haven’t changed since Power Vac-BELFOR’s inception in 1994 and that is the pride the company and it’s employees take in providing quality work and quality customer service. Further growth and diversification has led to the establishment of three provincial locations: Paradise, Gander and Corner Brook. Labrador is serviced from a combination of crews from all locations.
